What Is the Acura New Vehicle Limited Warranty?

The New Vehicle Limited Warranty lasts for four years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. This exclusionary coverage is a bumper-to-bumper warranty, and repairs and replacements for parts defective in materials or workmanship are covered. The 12V battery is also included under this warranty. Repairs or replacements are done free of charge at our certified Service Department, and covered parts remain protected until the warranty expires.

What Does the Powertrain Limited Warranty Cover?

The Acura Powertrain Limited Warranty includes coverage for six years or 70,000 miles. Like the New Vehicle Limited Warranty, it will repair or replace any part that is defective in materials or workmanship under normal use, at no charge. This covers the engine, transmission, transaxle, and drivetrain systems, including FWD and Super-Handling AWD, and is designed to provide long-term Woodbridge drivers added reassurance beyond a standard lease term.

What Is Not Covered by the Acura Warranty?

Several items are excluded from Acura's new vehicle warranty, including normal wear or deterioration of any part, cleaning and polishing, the adding of fluids, broken or chipped window glass, and cosmetic flaws or minor damage to the body or paint that may have occurred during manufacture or shipping. Expendable maintenance items such as filters and brake pads, when replaced due to normal wear, are also excluded. Tires are not covered by Acura and are instead warranted by their manufacturers.

Tire manufacturers may include brands such as Bridgestone, Michelin, Goodyear, Continental, and others depending on which tires came with your vehicle.

Does Acura Offer a Rust Perforation Warranty?

Acura's Rust Perforation Limited Warranty is a standout feature, offering coverage for five years with no mileage limit. This provision covers the vehicle if rust causes a hole through a body panel from the inside out, but does not cover surface rust caused by stone chips or scratches, only structural corrosion that could have resulted from factory defects.

Are Seat Belts Covered?

If any seat belt component fails to function properly during normal use, Acura will repair or replace it under the Acura Seat Belt Warranty. This warranty covers the seat belt assembly for either 15 years or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first. Is There a Warranty for Hybrid or Electric Components?

Acura offers specific coverage for hybrid components, typically a warranty of eight years or 100,000 miles for key items like the high-voltage battery pack, battery control module, and hybrid motor. Acura states that their warranties are transferable to an unlimited number of owners, as long as it's within the original warranty terms.
